Bookworm 101: The Mark of Athena

The 3rd installment in Rick Riordan's amazing series The Heroes of Olympus.

The Greek and Roman demigods will have to cooperate in order to defeat the giants released by the Earth Mother, Gaea. They will sail together on Argo II built by the amazing Leo Valdez to the ancient lands--Rome. They only have 5 days to save Nico di Angelo. Annabeth will also face her biggest fear and follow the Mark of Athena.

The Mark of Athena has four point of views: Annabeth, Leo, Piper and Percy. This book was the bomb! One of the reasons why I loved it is because all seven very powerful demigods were together fighting the forces of Gaea. It was well-written, as always! The book is action-packed and the story telling was brilliant. I could feel that it was really Annabeth not Rick who's talking.

I have many reactions to this book, and the truth? I cannot contain my "FEELS" reading this book. So me, being a total bookworm will not spoil anything. The plot was amazing and it's such a wonder how Rick manage to formulate more spectacular ideas and how chapter by chapter you love the book more and more. The twists were so unpredictable and intense.

Hands down to Rick Riordan and thank you for writing such a wonderful book! Though the ending left me hanging... as always. I am excited to read The House of Hades, but I have to wait for one year. Sigh. I can't wait for Sea of Monsters which is showing next year! (even though the Lightning Thief movie was not that good)
