Apo View Hotel celebrates it's 65th Anniversary


Did you know that Apo View Hotel is Davao City's very first hotel and is also the second longest running hotel in the Philippines? Well, this March 23, Apo View Hotel will be celebrating their 65th anniversary

To celebrate this milestone, this iconic local landmark will host a thanksgiving party for it's industry partners, valued clients and friends. Chef Pablito Villanda, leader of the hotel's highly lauded F&B team will treat guests with a lavish of cocktails and tapas. What's the entertainment? Some of the country's most talented musicians who started their careers at Apo View Hotel will come home to join the celebration.  Sought-after songwriter and singer Jay Durias of Southborder, vocalist Jinky Vidal of the popular home-grown band, Freestyle, and famous jazz musician Angel Balbin will take the stage to entertain guests and to show their appreciation to the hotel, which was home to them before making it big outside of Davao.

Also, the hotel's  loyal employees who have devoted their lives to serve the hotel and the hotel's guests will be recognized and will be awarded by Apo View Hotel's very own President and CEO, Chris Pamintuan, who took over last year and belongs to the 3rd generation of the Pamintuan family during the event.

The Pamintuan family founded Apo View Hotel in 1948 when the world was still recovering from the World War II with only fifteen rooms and one restaurant, but today the hotel has grown into a first class facility with over 150 rooms, two dining establishments, a bar, a casino, and a wide range of convention and banquet facilities. 

Apo View Hotel received the prestigious Datu Bago Award in 1992, the highest recognition given by the city of Davao to outstanding constituents and was recognized by the Department of Tourism as Pioneer Hotel was given International Recognition for Efficiency and International Gold Star for Quality in Switzerland in 1999

With new leadership backed by an experienced staff, Apo View Hotel celebrates its 65th year, promising that the hotel will continue to grow alongside Davao City to provide locals and guests a distinctly Davao experience with each visit.
